Neuroscience, the study of the nervous system, advances the understanding of human thought, emotion, and behaviour. It includes a study of the brain, the spinal cord, and networks of sensory nerve cells, or neurons, throughout the body. At NIB we are passionate about bringing both the medical and business fields together. We have found that the knowledge of neuroscience and its application in business benefit organisations to build healthier and more profitable organisations. Effective leadership and interaction with people starts with understanding the science behind human thought, emotion and behaviour.

Thoughts have the power to change the structure of our brain. We have done extensive research on how thoughts work, the glue of cognition.

Emotions help us make decisions and determine our behaviour. Primary emotions are anger, fear, pleasure, sadness and disgust. Our solutions provide answers to how emotions are formed.

Our behaviour is a result of our thoughts and emotions. Behaviour is a response to how neurotransmission affects physical (and also psychological) functions.

Our studies in neuroscience and its effect on human behaviour include many aspects such as the types and role of neurotransmitters, neuroplasticity and how neurogenesis works (amongst many others). We have spent many hours in the LAB to understand how neuroscience can provide insights and knowledge of certain behaviours. Our programmes are carefully planned to provide our clients with current and the most effective workshops and accredited programmes.
