CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Why should I be certified as a coach and mentor?
Coaching and mentoring, individuals or groups, means you are taking people through a process to get to their desired outcome. You work with their thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Doing so without the correct tools will do more harm than good. Currently the coaching and mentoring profession is not as regulated as it should be. However, organisations and individuals are starting to ask for credentials. A few years from now this will become a requirement. Becoming a certified coach and mentor means you need to meet the requirements of this programme.
Certification and joining our community
Once you adhere to the NIB requirements for this certification, you will be able to coach and mentor both in your own practice or within your organisation. The ICF core competencies and EMCC form the foundation of your certification process. This is the gold standard of both coaching ad mentoring internationally. If you would like to be credentialed through the ICF (International Coaching Federation) you may use these hours towards that process.
This course sets you apart from other traditional coaching and mentoring courses. We do our own brain research with EEG (electroencephalogram) and qEEG/brainmaps. We do not use research that has not been tested rigorously.
Becoming a certified neuroscience coach and mentor means you need to meet the requirements of this programme. You will join as a member the elite group of Neuroscience Coaches and Mentors.
- Participate in peer coaching sessions
- Complete all the assignments and submit on NIBlearn platform
- Attend 4 individual supervisor sessions with your assigned supervisor
- Have completed all 12 coaching and 12 mentoring sessions
- One audio recording of mentoring submitted on the NIBLearn platform
- One audio recording of coaching submitted on the NIBLearn platform
- You will receive feedback on both audio recordings(coaching and mentoring). Once you meet the required standard, you will receive a pass
- Complete all online training
- Your certificate is valid for 1 year whereafter you are required to attend a minimum of 8 Masterclasses per year (for free). The annual renewal is 100 USD.
