The Right Tools Matter
Coaching and mentoring involve guiding individuals or groups toward outcomes by working with thoughts, emotions, and behaviour.
Doing so without the correct tools can do more harm than good.
While the profession is not yet as regulated as it should be, organisations and individuals are increasingly asking for credentials – and this will likely become a requirement over time.
What Makes This Programme Different
This programme sets you apart from more traditional coaching and mentoring courses. NIB does its own brain research using EEG (electroencephalogram) and qEEG (brain maps) and focuses on rigorously tested insights. The programme includes:
- Demonstrations of real-time EEG monitoring of brain performance
- Discussion of brain-map (qEEG) results and how to interpret them in the workplace
- Gaining practical experience via 12 coaching and/or 12 mentoring hours
- Earn a minimum of 35 CPD points per annum (HPCSA accredited)

Choose Your Specialisation
You can qualify as a Neuro Coach, a Neuro Mentor, or complete the combined route. The best choice depends on whether you’re supporting people through goal-driven change (coaching), longer-term development (mentoring), or both.
Neuro Coaching
Coaching is a goal-focused, performance-driven partnership. It helps individuals clarify outcomes, remove obstacles, build new habits, and sustain behaviour change – using neuroscience-based tools to support thinking, emotion regulation, motivation and performance.
Neuro Mentoring
Mentoring is a development-focused relationship where experience and guidance accelerate growth over time. It supports learning, career development, confidence, and capability-building – often helping the mentee navigate decisions, context, and development pathways.
Combined Route
Choose the combined route if you want the full toolkit for workplace development – coaching for performance and change, mentoring for longer-term growth and development. This option is ideal for leaders, HR/OD professionals, and practitioners who support people in multiple ways.
